PROFESSIONAL STANDING:
Nasir Bukhari has 28-years experience in the local & international financial Markets, and through his extensive market knowledge he developed KASB into a full-scale financial services company. In 1978 he joined his family business at the Karachi Stock Exchange. Nasir has also served as a Director of the Karachi Stock Exchange (Guarantee) Ltd, where he successfully initiated automated trading system.

He has also been involved in technology infrastructure and investment business for over 5 years. Nasir currently holds the office of Chairman KASB Group/KASB bank Ltd. He had also held prestigious position in Government of Sindh as Chairman, Sindh Privatization Commission.

EDUCATION:
Graduated in 1977 from Government College of Commerce & Economics, Karachi. He, thereafter, participated in various professional courses related to finance and other allied fields at some leading institution including The Wharton School – University of Pennsylvania, Yale school of Management and MIT (Massachusetts Institute of Technology, USA).

Nasir has extensively traveled to the US Europe and Asian Countries, visited various emerging markets to study operations and legal framework of their financial markets.

RECOGNITION AT INTERNATIONAL AND NATIONAL LEVEL:
Nasir has been invited by the Chinese government to attend and deliver his lecture to the prestigious event “conference 2000 of the 21st Century forum-Beijing, China”- organized by Chinese People’s Political Consultative Conference (“CPPCC”). He is a member of IT & Telecommunication Commission of international Chamber of Commerce (“ICC”).

Spoken at various international seminars including Islamic Society of North America (“ISNA”) convention for sharing his experiences and expertise to promote Islamic Financial System. Nasir is a member of Executive Committee of Management Association of Pakistan (“MAP”).

He served as Chapter Chair of the prestigious Worldwide Young Presidents` Organization. (“YPO”). As a YPO member he has been actively participation in its regional and global events.

Nasir regularly speaks on e-commerce, technology and investment opportunities at different forums and universities including institute of Business Administration (“IBA”) Karachi, National University of Science & Technology (NUST”) Islamabad.

COMMUNITY WORK:
He is one of the founder Trustees of the COMMECS institute of Business Education – the premier educational center of the country. Devotes significant amount of his working time to eradicate illiteracy. As a learned speaker, various educational institutions regularly invite him to impart education to the budding business managers. He is Member board of Governors of Karachi Institute of Information & Technology (KIET), Karachi, and IUME-International University of Management & Economics. Founder –Trustee of AFKAAR, the only Urdu magazine published since the last 53 years.
