Mr. Zaiviji Ismail
Chairman Shell Pakistan Ltd.


Zaiviji Ismail has been appointed Chairman Shell Companies in Pakistan and Managing Director Shell Pakistan Limited with effect from 1 September 2006.

He joined Shell Malaysia in 1990. During his 16 years of service, Zaiviji has held various appointments in the IT, Distribution, Change Management and Retail businesses. He was seconded to Shell Oman in 2001 as General Manager of the Retail Business. Since 2004, Zaiviji has been working in Shell Pakistan as General Manager Retail Business and has served on the Boards of Shell Pakistan Limited and Pakistan Refinery Limited.

Prior to joining Shell, Zaiviji has worked at the Central Bank of Malaysia and the Malaysia Building Society Ltd. During this period he also had a stint in England.

Zaiviji holds an MBA from the Cranfield School of Management, England. He has attended various management development programmes by Shell.

His hobbies and interests include mountain climbing, participating in marathon races, gardening and reading.
